House Bill 2946 - New Law Affects Felons With Dogs
- Report animal crimes to the police:
- Demand a predictable, effective response.
- Advise ATAC of the effectiveness of the police response.
- Demand that the IL Humane Care for Animals Act be included in the state mandated police training curriculum.
- Donate to humane agencies that support animal cruelty investigations by law enforcement exclusively.
- Ask of Humane Agencies:
- What constitutes an investigation;
- Was an arrest made? If so, what charge was brought;
- Was the animal confiscated? If so, under what conditions will the animal be kept during the course of the often times lengthy legal process?
